My Roles & Responsibilities
UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH ASSISTANT, RWTH UNIVERSITY
May 2016 - July 2016
In Aachen, Germany, I worked in the Institute of Plastics Processing (IKV) in Industry and the Skilled Crafts at RWTH University. I worked under a PhD student who created a method for optimizing the cooling phase in the injection molding cycle. My work specifically pertains to creating a program that calculates and displays the outer and inner contours of any given part.
ROBOT MACHINE PLAYER
September 2015 - December 2015
Sophomore year, fall semester, I had the privilege to take the Design and Manufacturing I course under the mechanical engineering department. Each team built a robot machine player (RMP) that would play a part of a replay race. Â My team's RMPÂ specifically had to pick up cubes, carry cubes while traversing over an inclined surface, and delivering them over a 10 inch wall.
TMJ CONCEPTS TOTAL TEMPOROMANDIBULAR JOINT PROSTHESIS
January 2015 - April 2015
In one of my engineering classes, my group and I were given the task to research a biomedical prosthesis and suggest a solution that may further improve the prosthesis based on our findings. Our group chose to research the Temporomandibular Joint Prosthesis (TMJ), a complex joint that controls jaw movement. I specifically researched the causes for the need of this implant.
